Homemade Nutella Recipe

Homemade Nutella is a rich and creamy chocolate-hazelnut spread crafted from roasted hazelnuts, cocoa powder, and natural sweeteners. It’s a healthier and customizable alternative to store-bought versions, allowing you to adjust the sweetness and flavor to your liking. Perfect for spreading on toast, drizzling over pancakes, or enjoying straight from the jar, this homemade treat is both indulgent and wholesome.

Ingredients:

  • Hazelnuts – 140g
  • Milk Chocolate – 340g
  • Oil – 02 tbsp
  • Cocoa Powder – 08g
  • Powdered Sugar – 25g
  • Salt – ½ tsp
  • Vanilla – ½ tsp

How to cook:

  • Preheat your oven to 175°C and roast hazelnuts for 7–8 minutes. Alternatively, you can dry roast them on a stovetop for convenience.
  • While the hazelnuts are still warm, wrap them in a kitchen towel and gently shake to remove the skins. If you’re using skinless hazelnuts, you can skip this step.
  • Melt chocolate in a bowl and set it aside to cool slightly.
  • Use a food processor to blend the roasted hazelnuts until they form a smooth paste. This is the base of your Nutella.
  • Drizzle oil into the hazelnut paste and blend again for a creamier consistency.
  • Add powdered sugar, cocoa powder, a pinch of salt, and a splash of vanilla extract to the mixture. Process until well combined.
  • Pour the melted chocolate into the processor and blend everything together until the mixture is silky smooth.
  • Transfer your homemade Nutella to a clean, airtight jar. Store it in a cool place, and it will stay fresh for 1–2 months.
  • Spread it on toast, use it in desserts, or simply enjoy it by the spoonful!
