Strawberry Jam

Homemade strawberry jam is a sweet, luscious spread made by simmering fresh strawberries with sugar and a splash of lemon juice. Its rich, fruity flavor captures the essence of ripe strawberries, making it a delightful addition to toast, pancakes, or desserts. Free from artificial preservatives, this jam offers a wholesome, nostalgic treat that's perfect for sharing or storing for later enjoyment.

Ingredients:

  • Strawberry – 500g
  • Sugar – 135g
  • Lemon Juice – 01 tbsp

How to cook:

  • Remove stem and leaves if there’s any in strawberries and clean them well.
  • Chop cleaned strawberries into fine size pieces.
  • Add sugar into chopped strawberries and mix.
  • Place the pan on the stove and stir under medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  • Once sugar dissolves, add lemon juice and boil more about 5 mins until strawberries softness while stirring occasionally.
  • Mash boiled strawberries in a food processor or by using the spoon.
  • Boil the jam mixture more under medium heat while stirring until it reaches desired consistency.
  • When the mixture thickens and feel the hardness to the spoon, get a drop of jam and put it on a plate. When you turn the plate if the jam drop is not runny like water our jam has come to the right consistency.
  • Once the jam is ready, turn off the flame and let it cool about 5 mins.
  • After that, pour the jam into sterilized bottles, tighten the lid, cover the jam bottle with a kitchen towel and place it in a dark place about 24 hours. This allows the jam to cool slowly and set nicely.
