Tomato Sauce Recipe

Homemade tomato sauce is a rich, flavorful blend of ripe tomatoes simmered to perfection. This versatile sauce adds a fresh and authentic taste to your favorite pasta dishes, pizzas, and more. Easy to prepare, it brings a touch of homemade goodness to any meal.

Ingredients:

  • Ripe Tomatoes – 500g
  • Water – ½ cup
  • Sugar – 50g
  • Red Chili Powder – ½ tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • White Vinegar – 15ml

How to cook:

  • Dice all tomatoes into fine size pieces. For this sauce we need to get ripe tomatoes. Then sauce will be nice in red color.
  • Put diced tomatoes and water into a pan and boil them until tomatoes become tender.
  • Let it cool for few minutes and then put only tomato pieces into a blender. Don’t put remaining water in the pan, if so, the puree will be too much watery.
  • Blend tomatoes until you get a smooth puree.
  • Strain and put tomato puree into your cooking pan. This puree should be a thick one.
  • Bring tomato puree to boil under low heat.
  • Then add sugar, chili powder and salt as per your taste.
  • When all sugar dissolves, add vinegar.
  • Continue heating the sauce until it reaches desired consistency.
  • When the sauce is thick, put a small drop of sauce to a cold dish and run your finger through the sauce. If it leaves a clean trail on the dish our sauce is ready.
  • Now we can turn off the flame and set it aside to cool.
  • Fill sauce into a sauce bottle and store in the fridge.
